Né à l’Île Maurice en 1967 et installé à Londres dès 1976, Mode 2 grandit au croisement de multiples influences culturelles, artistiques et musicales. Il découvre le hip-hop en 1984 à Covent Garden et rejoint dès 1985 le pionnier français Bando, participant ainsi à l’émergence du graffiti en Europe.
La publication de Spraycan Art en 1987 contribue à faire connaitre son travail à l’international. Artiste pluridisciplinaire, il développe depuis plus de quarante ans une œuvre nourrie par les cultures urbaines, la musique, l’histoire et l’engagement.
Considéré comme l’une des figures majeures du graffiti mondial, il transmet son expérience à travers ateliers, festivals, expositions et projets artistiques menés aux quatre coins du monde.
